Today, Andy Mason, Director of Heaven In Business in northern California, is leading us in prayer. He is going to pray and lead us through Psalm 20, because it is a beautiful blueprint of how to pray in crazy times and speaks directly to the foundations of where we find our help.
All around us right now, we are facing crazy challenges and changes. If my foundation, support, strength and source lie in anything other than Christ Himself, I will be unstable and insecure; but if my foundation is in Christ alone, then I will be firm and secure. I will look for sources and solutions that aren’t only what I can grasp.
This is Psalm 20, “The Passion” translation, and it’s literally a blueprint from which you can pray:
PRAYER
In times of trouble, may the Lord answer your cry, that He would send help from His sanctuary. May you literally see supernatural source and supply to you today.
May He strengthen you and remember all of your gifts. May He grant your heart’s desire and make all of your plans succeed. May you shout for joy when you hear of the victory! May the Lord answer all of your prayers.
Now I know that the Lord rescues His anointed king. He will answer him from His holy heaven and rescue him with His great power. Some may trust in horses and some in chariots (that’s our own ability; that’s our business plan; that’s our strategy. Those are good, but my trust is not ultimately in my business plan.)
I boast, I trust in the name of the Lord God. Those nations will fall down and collapse that trust in anything other than Him, but we will rise and stand firm. Give victory to our king, O God, answer our cry for help.
So, I bless you with the courage and the strength and the wisdom to find the strength and source in Christ alone, and from that may you find the wisdom, the discernment to see to the heart of the matter; the wisdom to know what to do and the courage to do it. Bless you!
