In this hard and hurting world where weary people are no longer seeking God inside the walls of the church, mercifully, God is seeking and meeting them outside the walls of churches in ordinary businesses run by Christ-centered employees and entrepreneurs.
These business men and women need constant prayer as they partner with God to shine and share His love in these humble, hidden, and hard places.
Their heart’s desire is to live out Jesus’ words from Matthew 5:13-19 (The MSG) “You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world… I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.”
Prayer
Gracious Father, Please empower and equip all those who represent you in the business world to be:
- Christ-saturated – in every moment, every decision, every interaction of every day.
- Prayer-powered — living out the reality that Your good and gracious promises that come to them through the trust-filled vehicle of prayer.
- Mission-driven — loving, sharing, gaining and giving not for just their own sakes but for those precious souls You have called them to serve.
In Jesus’ powerful name. Amen.
