From Rags to Riches to Ruin to Redemption
Dr. Joe Martin grew up in one of the toughest areas in Miami. It was so bad that a popular violent video game was modeled after their city! Despite growing up in such terrible conditions, he was the first person in his family to graduate high school. He then went ahead to get a college degree, a master’s degree, and pushed it even further with a PhD.
He built a wildly successful career, started a business at age 22, and was making a quarter of a million dollars a year by age 30.
That was only the second part of his life, because he went from rags to riches… then to ruin when his world just crumbled due to his vices.
He hit rock bottom when he lost everything: his wife filed for divorce, his career was in shambles, and he almost lost his life.
His fate made another turn, but for the better, when he was exposed to Howard, the first Godly man he had ever met. Howard was not just a “good man”. He was a Godly man who actually lived his life the way Joe wanted to. Howard did not say anything about being a Godly man, he showed Joe how to become one. That’s when Joe started the fourth stage of his life: redemption.
