Becoming our best, or the best version of yourself has been the trending topic that life coaches and inspirational speakers have been trying to emphasize in the past years. With such demand to have an overhaul in the aspect of becoming the best individuals, we all go through the tough process of molding and twisting. Hence, patience and perseverance are the keys to becoming your best.
This episode features Rob Shallenberger, the CEO of the movement named “Becoming Your Best” reiterated the importance of going through a tough process to be the best version of ourselves. His experience in the field of leadership made him the person that he is right now, and he is very willing to share with us his life realizations along the way. In the entire podcast, he mentioned three ideas which are worth reflecting for.
“Live a life by design or live a life by default.” – Rob Shallenberger
We cannot be the usual individual among everybody. We are unique, we are different, and noting that will make us realize that there is a lot in store for us. The journey towards becoming a better version of ourselves may not be easy, but it is worth it. It begins with the realization that since we are different and we are capable of doing things, then we can make a difference and we can be the best version of ourselves. Gone are the days that we have to share the same colors as everyone else, for we can be the rainbow that reflects our real color and life from within.
“Becoming your best is a mindset and a skill set.” – Rob Shallenberger
Becoming your best begins with the idea of wanting to be one, but the actual realization of such idea entails skills which one has to learn, master, and apply to achieve goals. In real life, there are things that we dream of, but we are so afraid of doing because we feel that we cannot do it or we feel that we are not good enough. If we never try, we will never know. Rob once more emphasized that the only way for us to become the best is by doing something towards the realization of our dreams of becoming best.
“Align with His will.” – Rob Shallenberger
Yes, we may want to be the best right now at this very moment. But we also have to consider the universal design created by Him. For only through him that we could be the best, and that only through Him that all things are possible. Have faith, work on it, and pray for it.
Becoming your best is not easy. That was emphasized by Rob throughout the podcast, but it is not impossible. For as long as we are willing to try, we have what it means to do it, and God allows it to happen, we are on our way to becoming the best version of ourselves.
