As entrepreneurs, how are we going to represent Jesus in the market place where we are most likely going to see things from a secular business perspective?
Join us today in another insightful and relatable discussion with a previous guest who inspired us to discover our inner potential, believe in ourselves and become a great individual despite our brokenness. Let’s journey with him and witness how he patiently listens and obediently follows God’s calling.
Remember Etienne Hardre? Despite coming from a broken and dark past, he was able to come through it all and fulfill what God wants him to do. For many years of working in the corporate world, Etienne felt that what he was doing wasn’t purposeful enough and that he wasn’t doing things for the greater glory of God.
Just 6 years ago, Etienne Hardre was on a journey to self-discovery, battling with God, finding his purpose, living a messy life and struggling to put all its fragmented pieces together. He spent about 6 months doing nothing but trying to figure out what God wants him to do. During these trying times, he asked God “What do you want me to do?” only to be responded with the question “What do you want to do?”
After going through this period, he became certain of 5 things and these are:
- He needed to be the leader, to be the one in charge.
- He needed a team around.
- That sky is the limit; to have unlimited potential.
- He needed to go international, and
- He needed to honor God in all that he does.
His experiences made him realize that life is not about success, achievement, building a cool business, or even building the kingdom of God. But rather, Etienne believes that life is all about being obedient to Jesus, it’s about being a Kingdom entrepreneur, and doing business in God’s way.
“I wanted to provide grace when there’s usually condemnation.”- Etienne Harde.
He believes that God does not create broken but rather perfect people. It is the world that breaks them.
“We lose our way and we allow the devil to convince of us lies that we believe about each other, about ourselves and we take action on those lies and damage people or damage ourselves.”
And sadly, societies are filled with individualistic self-made man culture. We forget to honor Jesus and think that we are successful because of the label we give ourselves, such as being an entrepreneur.
“I realized that the world is huge and I will immediately drown in it if it were not for God, if it were not for his care for me.”- Etienne Hardre.
What you’ll learn:
- How the hands of God shield us from all kinds of risk.
- The importance of following Christ in every decision we make.
- To believe that where God is calling you is where you’re meant to be.
