A life worth-living as manifested by purpose and success. That is what our today’s podcast guest, Jeff Blanton is advocating. In as much as we would like to live a balanced life, we most of the time stumble and feel that we are not enough. In the same manner, we feel that there is much to do and we are only given limited time to do it. In his sharing, let us learn how to live a life with purpose while living it happily towards success.
“I felt that there has to be something else.” – Jeff Blanton
Jeff shared that his life, he also felt the urge to do something big. He wanted to do something that could instantly shift his current life into what he wants to be. He had a vision of what he wants to accomplish. It is just that in the process, he felt that it was not what he really wanted. There is something lacking from within. In our respective lives, we also struggle to reach something only to realize later on that it does not really matter. There is something higher and greater than we are destined to be. Thus, a heading to something greater than was planned way ahead of us.
“What am I doing for other people?” – Jeff Blanton
Finding life’s purpose does not have to be selfish and self-centered. We tend to think of ourselves in isolation whenever we talk about purpose. But the thing is, only through other people’s happiness that we can only feel fulfilled and genuinely happy. No matter how contented we may say we are, if we know that people around us are not in good condition, we still feel a hole deep within us, waiting to be filled with the presence of other people.
“How do I drive success through significance.” – Jeff Blanton
If we realize what makes us significant, what makes us important, then we see the path starting to be cleared ahead of us. We see our direction in life. We create a journey towards success along with the people that we journey with. I think what Jeff is trying to emphasize is that in this life, we cannot journey alone. There is a need for us to jailbreak the mentality of being alone at the top or being alone at the peak of success.
In this article, you will learn about:
• Recognizing the superficial kind of happiness
• Appreciating the existence and efforts of other people
• Recalibrating one’s view of life and of purpose
• finding one’s way to genuine happiness and contentment
• Jailbreaking an imprisoned life towards happiness and success.
